That Day

THAT DAY
The William Clements Center for Southwest Studies at Southern Methodist University, Dallas in association with Yale University Press, New Haven and London, 2015
THAT DAY captures the majesty as well as the tragedy of the American West today. Excerpts from Wilson's journals spanning over 30 years accompany the photographs, recalling her experiences on the day when a particular image was taken. The subjects range from legendary Texas cattle ranches to the bleak reality of Indian reservations to compelling portraits of artists and writers who are associated with the region, including Donald Judd, Ed Ruscha, and Sam Shepard.
